Chelsea on the hunt for a midfielder and right back

Chelsea already, have signed 16 players since the arrival of Todd boehly since last summer but remain keen in adding to head coach Graham Potter’s squad this January.

With Enzo Fernández still a top target, the club’s representative are considering to offer a new bid for the benfica and argentine midfielder. Chelsea tried to sign Enzo last month but talks were on hold after benfica insisted he could only leave if his release clause of 106 million Euros was paid.

The 22-year old was desperate to move to chelsea at the start of the month , but is back playing regularly for the club after he was dropped for one game

Benfica is willing to offer him a new contract which could mean he would leave for a big price and for higher bids to be received during the next summer window to attract the likes of real Madrid and Barcelona.

Although, Chelsea could pay his release clause, doing so would impact their ability to comply with premier league and UEFA financial fair play rules.

Other targets include Brighton’s moises caciedo, Dourtmond’s jude Bellingham and westham’s Declan rice
