The negotiations for the Swiss forward to join the German Bundesliga side have been unlocked, reports Matteo Moretto of he deal is done for the ex RB Salzburg player’s move to the Leipzig club.

That is according to the information of UOL Esporte in Brazil, who report that Manchester City are now working to make a ‘tempting proposal’ official for Palmeiras defender, Vitor Reis in the next few hours worth around €40 million with the possibility of bonuses.
It is claimed that the Premier League champions are ‘in a hurry’ to seal a deal for the 18-year-old, who has recently been a target for other clubs in England, including Brighton & Hove Albion.
Behind-the-scenes, UOL, are reporting that Reis was being valued by Palmeiras at above €30 million, with the teenager currently contracted with the Brazilian giants until December, 2028.
Additional reporting from UOL journalist Andre Hernan has also confirmed that Manchester City have reached a verbal agreement over a move to the Etihad Stadium with the player himself, and that the negotiation is now between the two clubs.

Manchester City has made contact with Lens over a move for defender Abdukodir Khusanov, AfojSPORTS understands.
The 20-year-old centre back has only one full season of experience in Europe’s major leagues, having moved to Ligue 1 in 2023 from Belarusian side Energetik-BGU.
Lens are currently sixth in the French top flight with the second-fewest goals conceded in the league.
City are in need of reinforcements after an injury-hit and underwhelming start to the season.
Regular starters John Stones and Nathan Ake have started 12 games each in all competitions with the former one of Pep Guardiola’s key players during a period of dominance at the Etihad.

Marcus Rashford is being seen as a luxury signing for AC Milan, with Sky Sport Italia’s Maurizio Compagnoni questioning the deal.
He was quoted via Milan News: “Rashford plays consistently on the left, where Leao plays. What does that have to do with Milan? It would be a very unusual operation.
“The player is potentially very strong, but it is true that he has sometimes played as a right winger, it is true that he has sometimes played as a centre forward, but if you ask me “What is Rashford’s role?” I answer “Forward, left winger”, that is, the same role as Leao”.
He adds that he is also unconvinced over Rashford’s ability to line up as a centre-forward: “You can try, but it’s not like he’s done great things as a centre-forward. However, he’s played there a few times. Rashford would be a gamble. Maybe he’ll succeed.
“Rashford is potentially very strong. It’s just that his performances in recent seasons, except for a few moments, have been disappointing. I repeat, he’s an intriguing gamble, fascinating.”
Whether Milan take that gamble comes down to it working financially for them – and it sums up the troubles Manchester United are experiencing in terms of trying to land a fee for one of the club’s highest earners.
For a team like Milan to commit wholeheartedly to the deal, they need to be totally convinced it is the right move, and there are plenty of reasons to be doubtful that this particular move goes ahead.
19-year-old left back Julio Soler is to head to Bournemouth ahead of a reported $ 15 million move from Lanús.
As reported by Argentine sports journalist Uriel Iugt and Sky Sports’ Mark McAdam, Soler will head to Dorset today ahead of the move from the Primera División club.
He will reportedly sign a four-year deal with the south coast club.
Soler has made 58 senior appearances since making his Lanús debut in 2022, and he played 43 times for the club in the 2023/2024 season.
Born in Paraguay, Soler represents the Argentina youth teams and represented the country at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, playing four times and notching one assist.
He started each of the three group games for the South American nation before coming off the bench in the quarter-final defeat to hosts France.
Soler has also been called up to the senior team, although it is yet to make an appearance, named on the bench for the World Cup Qualifiers against Bolivia and Venezuela.
He captained the Argentina U20 side before being called up for the U23s squad, playing once against Paraguay in June.
The teen is a product of the Lanús youth system, having joined the club aged nine.

Wolves are aware of interest from Saudi Arabian club Al Shabab in Mario Lemina, but there has been no approach for the midfielder, who was stripped of the club captaincy by former boss Gary O’Neil.

The outlet understands that Bundesliga’s VfB Stuttgart was also keen on Agbadou, but Wolves seem to have won the race to his signing. Reims were reluctant to part ways with the Ivory Coast international – which they signed from KAS Eupen in 2022 – after agreeing to a contract extension with him last September. Agbadou was under contract with Luka Elsner’s Reims until 2028.
