Turkish giant set to finalise Anderson Talisca’s move

Turkish giant, fernabache, has secured a major signing ahead of the January transfer window, bringing in Brazilian footballer Anderson Talisca as their new playmaker.

Determined to end their 10-year wait for a Super Lig title, the club moved quickly to finalize the deal. Talisca’s return to Türkiye marks a significant moment for the team, as he previously found success in the league with Besiktas.

The club will pay half of Talisca’s $12.5 million annual salary, amounting to $6.2 million. If the partnership continues beyond this season, Fenerbahce plans to offer Talisca a three-year contract.

Talisca’s signing also aims to solve the problems created by Sebastian Szymanski‘s underwhelming performances. The Polish player failed to meet expectations, making Talisca’s arrival even more critical for Fenerbahce‘s ambitions.

Talisca previously played in the Super Lig during the 2016–2017 season with Besiktas. His time with the club saw significant success, including a league championship. Napoli shows interest in Renato viega

Chelsea star Renato Viega is wanted by Napoli on loan. Viega is one of the favourites of Enzo Maresca. The Italian club is showing high interest to get the deal done in January itself.

Renato Viega joined the Blues just six months ago in summer. The West London club paid £12 million to Basel in order to secure Viega’s signature. The 21 year old quickly became a favourite for head coach, Enzo maresca.

Viega can play in a variety of positions. He can play as centre back, full back, holding midfielder, and even as central midfielder. However, the 21 year old is mainly being used as left back by Maresca.

Maresca even prefers Viega over the natural left back Ben Chilwell. He considers the 21 year old as a backup for Cucurella and hence wants to part ways with Ben Chilwell.

Despite Maresca rating the 21 year old this highly, he is receiving attention from other clubs. Now, Napoli has shown interest in signing him this month.

Ben Godfrey loan deal placed by Ipswich town

Former Everton defender Ben Godfrey is in advanced talks over a move to Ipswich.

The Englishman joined Serie A side Atalanta from Everton in June in a £10million deal, but is now set for a return to English football after just over six months away.

Godfrey has been told he can leave the Italian side and that he is no longer part of the club’s plans.

As many as eight clubs have registered an interest in the centre-back, with Leeds and Tottenham among the rumoured potential suitors.

However, Godfrey is believed to favour a move to Portman Road after being impressed by manager Kieran McKenna.

And the 26-year-old will surely be keen on a fresh start after his move to Italy failed to live up to expectations.

With Atalanta qualifying for this season’s Champions League following their Europa League victory in May, this appeared to be the next progression in Godfrey’s career.

But since joining the Lombardi outfit, he has made just one league appearance, and five in all competitions, all of which have come from the bench.

Most recently, he was left out of Atalanta’s squad list for their 2-0 Super Cup defeat to Inter Milan on Thursday.

And with Ipswich having shipped the fourth-most goals of any Premier League side this season, Godfrey would certainly bring some much-needed experience to their backline.

After starting his career with hometown club York City, he was snapped up by the Tractor Boys’ bitter rivals Norwich in 2016 aged 18.

Godfrey’s breakthrough season with the Canaries came in the 2018/19 campaign, where he featured in 31 league games as his side won the Championship title.

Uncertainty uprises around Ben chillwell’s situation

Chelsea may have to get creative in order to offload Ben Chilwell this month, with the defender refusing to take a pay cut to leave the club.

Chilwell joined Chelsea in a £50million move from Leicester in 2020 and still has two and a half years left on his contract worth £190,000 per week. He has been frozen out of the first team by Enzo Maresca, who has made it clear he doesn’t have a future at Stamford Bridge.

Gabriel Slonina’s hand injury will reportedly lead to his return to Stamford Bridge this winter.

Slonina is set for an early recall from his season-long loan spell at EFL League One side Barnsley, reports from the club.

The American goalkeeper originally joined Barnsley last August and proceeded to make 14 appearances across all competitions.

However, a finger/hand injury suffered in November has sidelined Slonina since then.

The 20-year-old earned EFL Cup Player of the Round honors after an impactful Barnsley debut. Slonina made two penalty saves in a 4-2 shootout result over Wigan Athletic, while fellow American Donovan Pines scored the only goal for Barnsley in a 1-1 regulation scoreline.

Slonina spent all of last season at Belgian side Eupen in his first European experience since moving to England from MLS’ club Chicago Fire.

Casemiro Agrees to leave old Trafford

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro knows his time is up and his Old Trafford exit is accelerating ahead of the January transfer window – but one destination has been ruled out.

Casemiro was among the starters for Man Utd in their loss to Newcastle on Monday night but was taken off, and it is up for question whether he will be given the chance to play under Ruben Amorim again.

Casemiro could end up at any of Al Hilal, Al-Nassr, Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahli, Al-Ettifaq or Al-Qadsiah, depending on what the Saudi PIF decides and which of those clubs have available spaces for foreign recruits.

Al-Nassr would have the backing of captain Cristiano Ronaldo, who used to be teammates with Casemiro at Real Madrid and Man Utd.

Como set to wrap up deal for Spanish starlet

According to Fabrizio Romano, Como is nearing an agreement with Real Betis for the transfer of nineteen-year-old right winger Assane Diao. The transfer fee is reportedly over eleven million euros. It is noted that trainer Cesc Fabregas has personally communicated with Diao, which is seen as a pivotal element in facilitating this transfer. Although Feyenoord had previously shown interest and attempted to sign Diao, even bringing him to Rotterdam for a medical examination on the final day of the summer transfer window, the deal did not materialize. As reported by L’Équipe and Ouest-France last week, Rennes are nearing a €20m agreement to sign Fofana from Al-Nassr. The 2024 AFCON winner is currently on loan at fellow Saudi side Al Ettifaq. However, the former RC Lens midfielder has been keen on a return to Ligue 1.

As revealed earlier by afojsoccersports, Fofana was already in France last week, and Le Parisien now reported that he has now undergone a medical in Paris ahead of the move. That medical, which took place on Monday, has been successful.

Fofana, who is following in the footsteps of Jota in trading Saudi Arabia for Rennes, had an offer from another club in the Gulf State but turned it down, opting for a return to France with the presence of former Lens president Arnaud Pouille at Roazhon Park making a difference in the midfielder’s final decision.
